Deseret News, 11 April 1963, page 2D
The benefit premiere of "How The West Was Won," scheduled at
the Villa Theater tonight, has been sold out, according to Sid Page, manager
of the showhouse.
All proceeds will go to the Utah Society for the Physically Handicapped,
according to Mr. Page. He also noted that the regular public presentations
will begin Friday with a 2 p.m. matinee.
The performance tonight will be accompanied by the glare of spotlights
and a pre-show presentation featuring the KSOP Wranglers in a program
of folk music, and Indians from the Uinta-Ouray Reservation with traditional
dances.
The Highland High School Band also is expected to be on hand to play
outside the theater. These performers also appeared at the Villa for a
special screening Wednesday night.
