2001: A Space Odyssey
2001: A Space Odyssey showed in 70mm Cinerama at the Villa Theatre
for six months, from 14 June 1968 to 12 November 1968. The movie
had two benefit premieres, on Wednesday and Thursday, June 12 and 13.
The regular run began on Friday.
The first benefit was sponsored by the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce.
Funds from the second premiere, sponsored by the Utah Chapter of the Arthritis
Foundation, were to be used for arthritis research.
