Remodeling of the Entrance
|
The ticket booth of
the Villa Theatre has been removed. The outline
of the expanded ticket booth that Carmike Cinemas
built in 1996 can still be seen on the ceiling.

The doorway of the ticket
booth has been boarded up. On the floor you
can see the outline of the original ticket booth.

The base for a Greek pillar has been
laid at the corner of the theater entrance.

A column was added to the edge of the
building, partially covering the spot where the poster
case was originally located.

The ticket booth wall has been rebuilt
with a single poster case and a planter box built
over the outline of the original ticket booth.

The stone planter boxes along the front
of the store have been removed. Some of the
stone was used to rebuild the ticket booth wall.

The concrete in front
of the former Apple Yard store has been cut.

Five Greek pillars have been added
to help support the canopy of the entrance of the
building. The name "Villa Theatre" has been
removed from on top of the canopy.
