Workers build a platform to level out
the area in front of the Villa Theatre's stage. The
theater's red Cinerama curtains have been removed and
donated to the Hale Centre

The murals in the Villa Theatre's
auditorium have been covered with white paint. The
murals had been damaged and neglected over the

The 78-foot-wide curved
screen used by Carmike Cinemas from 1996 to 2003. The
Villa's original Cinerama screen was probably 89
feet wide and 29 feet high.

Behind the screen frame,
in the center, is a short hallway that connects
the edge of the screen curtains to the original
exit hall. The original entrance to the exit
