Inside the ticket
booth on the last day the Villa Theatre was open. The
expanded ticket booth was built by Carmike Cinemas
in 1996 and can comfortable sit two employees. A
1961 photo of the original ticket booth shows that
a second ticket window had been added, but the booth
was small
and really only designed for
one person. Next to the ticket booth was a small
manager's office and a slot in the wall allowed items
to be passed between the two rooms. The expanded
ticket booth was removed during the 2004 remodel.

Above the entrance of the Villa Theatre
in 1961 were the words "Always Delightfully Cool". The
original glass doors of the theater were replaced after a motorcycle
crashed through them in 1998.

In 1996 Carmike Cinemas removed the
original ticket booth and built a new, larger ticket booth that
extended underneath the canopy. The new ticket booth covered
the poster case nearest to the doors.

The expanded Carmike ticket booth
was removed in September 2004 as part of the renovation to turn
the Villa Theatre into a showroom for Adib's Rug Gallery. The
outline of the 1996 ticket booth can still be seen on the ceiling.
