In 1960, a 100-foot Cinemiracle screen was installed in front of the stage.  The edge of the screen came over to the wall, probably about half-way through the figure of the woman who is standing.

At the same time that the Cinemiracle screen was installed, the original red background of the murals was painted over with a more nutral purple color.  You can see how the background was painted over the head of the woman who is knealing, but not over the woman who is standing.

The lighting for the stage consisted of seven sets of four bulbs that shined down in front of the curtains.  After the Cinerama screen was installed new lights were installed in the ceiling to shine down on the Cinerama curtains.

The floor behind the Cinerama screen.  In the lower left corner is the edge of the stage and the original auditorium exit is in the upper left corner.  The darker area of the floor, which comes to a corner near the exit, is where the first row of seats was.
